I woke up to a lovely view of Salsbury Cathedral every day from my beautiful room. The staff were all lovely, and the room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, although the bathroom could have been cleaner with cobwebs on the ceiling.

I stayed at a hotel that had a mix of positives and negatives. The location was excellent, close to the city center, and offered beautiful views during the day, but it did make it noisy at times. The rooms were spacious, and although I enjoyed lovely views from a large four-poster room, the noise from the disco below forced me to leave early. The service was a bit hit or miss; while the staff were accommodating to my infant child, there were instances of unprofessional behavior like offering me a dusty pillow with a questionable wink and smile. The dining experience had its highlights with a variety of breakfast choices, but some plates were cold and dirty. However, there was a lack of gluten-free options, particularly during breakfast. On the bright side, the hotel had nice facilities, but attention was needed in certain areas.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The location by the river and close proximity to town was great, although the dining experience fell short in terms of variety. Overall, a good value for money choice.

6.2/10

My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms opened up to a patio with lovely views of the lawn, river, and cathedral, offering a nice setting to relax. However, I was disappointed to find a toe nail on the bedding, and there were some cleanliness issues with flies and bugs in the room. The bed was very comfortable though, and the ensuite was decent.

Rooms

The rooms had a nice view but cleanliness could have been better. The bed was comfortable.
Service

I struggled with the service at times, especially during breakfasts. However, they generously supplied breakfast when we were late on the last day. There was a moment where a staff member shrugged when I made a complaint.
Location

The location of the hotel is fantastic, with the town center just a 5-minute walk away. However, there were some noise issues that made the stay less peaceful. The area around the hotel seemed clean, but there was an overflowing dog-poo bin nearby.
Dining

The hotel offers a comfortable stay with well-appointed rooms, though lacking in some ventilation features. The service was attentive but had room for improvement. Its location is perfect for exploring Salisbury and enjoying nature. The dining experience had its ups and downs with a chaotic start. Overall, a good value for the price.

Although the rooms were non-smoking and fairly quiet, we were surprised to smell cigarette smoke in the evening which was disappointing. The hotel managers were accommodating but the additional charge for a late check-out left a bit of a sour taste. The location was excellent with views of Salisbury Cathedral and a short stroll into the town center.

Rooms
